BRIEF
Democratic Governor David Ige served two full terms as Governor of Hawaii. In Spring 2025, he sought to retire his official gubernatorial website and create a permanent digital archive that would document his tenure in office. The intention behind this new site was to create a place to house a comprehensive record of his work in service of Hawaii, including policy initiatives, campaign history, press coverage, archived websites, and personal background.
My approach to this design was to balance professionalism with warmth, aiming to feel elevated yet approachable —reflecting both Governor Ige’s character and the spirit of Hawaii. The color palette was inspired from his previous website, tweaked slightly to show moss and sage tones that evoke the local landscape. Imagery of the Governor and his family was integrated to feel natural and cohesive.

The final site functions as both a historical record and a personal narrative.
